Harmful Effects of Smoking

If you go out to public places, you may realize that there are many No Smoking signs placed everywhere. Why is this so? On one hand, shop owners would want people to stop smoking in their shops in order to avoid disturbing others. However, on the other hand, the truth remains that smoking does indeed have harmful effects and all smokers should attempt to stop smoking today. Whether it is through using quit smoking fake cigarettes or free patches, it is crucial to protect one’s health and body from the harmful effects of smoking. Although you will feel withdrawal symptoms from stopping smoking, you will be able to avoid extensively damaging effects of smoking as highlighted in this article.

One of the strategies to quit smoking is to look at its extremely horrifying effects on your body. Smoking harms and damages your mouth and throat. First, it can cause you to have permanently stained Invisalign and extremely bad breath. This is very unattractive, and if you want to have a presentable image and look good, you should follow the “stop smoking” advice that is readily available in stop smoking organizations and seminars.

Surface looks aside, smoking can also lead to gum diseases and seriously damage your sense of taste. If the damage has gotten to such a far extent, then it is ideal to get quit smoking help immediately. Gum diseases can lead to the rotting of your mouth and Invisalign, and damaging your senses is simply not wise. Not only will you be able to enjoy food, it will also lead to basic difficulties in your eating habits and indirect harms to your oral hygiene and health.

One of the main reasons to stop smoking is the increased risk of seriously damaging your mouth and throat area. The chances of you getting cancer in your gullet, throat, voice box, tongue and lips are increased significantly if you smoke regularly, and do not find ways to quit smoking. The consequences are dire – if you do not stop smoking, you may have long term suffering, be on lifetime medication and have to undergo chemotherapy. Needless to say, the most harmful effect of smoking is death. Hence, it is in your interest to quit smoking if you want to have a smoke free and fulfilling life ahead.

Evangelize – smoking alternative

September 2nd, 2010 by admin

Should you evangelize your brand or cause?
I ask this question because I don’t think every product can be evangelized. Take cigarettes for example. What are the benefits of smoking alternative? It’s hard to evangelize something that has no benefits. If you are able to identify the added value of your brand, service or cause, then you should consider evangelizing.

Is it cause worthy? Can it make a change for the better? Are you ready to take a global view? Are you able to speak to the benefits and let the benefits do the selling? Do you have goals toward making something better for your customer, the community, the world or your industry?

By examining the word evangelize, we can identify several principles that can be applied.

Evangelize defined:
To share good news. Share a positive message. To convert.
To advocate a cause with the objective of making converts.
To share news of something in order to convince someone to join or otherwise accept it.

How to evangelize
Inform: Bring good news.
Does your cause or brand have something positive to offer? Do you believe your own message? You should have enough knowledge about your brand to be able to identify any objections. Your message needs to include unique contributions your brand is making towards a change for the better.

Disciple: Educate and facilitate.
Provide education. Share knowledge of how you plan to make things for the better. Teach them how they can contribute in ways that will make a difference in the outcome of your cause.

Experience: A favorable impression.
Help them acquire positive experiences to reinforce your message. Integrity is key, the message has to be true and deliver its promise. Remarkable customer service will add to a positive experience.

Empower: With a message.
Give them access to as much as you can. You are building a relationship. Let them be the first to hear new inside information and they will pass it on. Create micro groups where they can share ideas. Support user groups, networks, fan bases, etc. Encourage collaborative solutions towards the mission and purpose of your brand or cause.

Converts will help spread the word.
A customer: buys goods or services
A convert: a person who has been persuaded to change beliefs

Not every customer becomes a convert. Not every convert becomes a evangelist.

There’s power in conversion. Passionate converts become evangelist themselves. They will generate buzz for you. Keep the conversion alive by feeding networks with new information that reflects your positive contributions towards the benefits.

If you give them a voice, you must listen to their opinions about your brand, service or cause. Passionate converts often know more about the brand than the brand owner. Let them help shape your vision and they will spread your message.

Invisalign – Understanding the Most Common Stop Smoking Methods on the Market

September 2nd, 2010 by admin

When you make the decision to stop smoking, you will have more success if you enlist some help.  There are many stop smoking methods on the market today to help you along the path to success.  While some of these ways to stop smoking are legitimate and effective, there are some that just won’t work.  Quitting your smoking addiction won’t happen overnight.  You need to learn ways to cope with your cravings and alter your behavior to avoid your smoking triggers.  Most people start off strong, but your resistance may start to waver after the withdrawal symptoms kick in.  That is when you need a plan that will really work.

Some stop smoking methods involve delivering the addictive chemical nicotine in a different way than a cigarette.  The idea is that you can avoid some of the withdrawal symptoms while you are changing your habit of smoking.  As you feel less of a need to smoke, you can then gradually cut back on the amount of nicotine you receive.  Nicotine gum and patches are the most commonly used of this type of smoking cessation plan.  You can also see your doctor to get a prescription medication that will help you stop smoking.  Be sure you fully understand the side effects of any medication you may decide to use.

When you have an addiction like smoking that you are trying to quit, it is common to end up substituting one addiction for another.  You will be less likely to see this effect if you use one of the more natural stop smoking methods.  Try exercising instead of smoking.  Chew some sugar free Invisalign whitening gum when you feel the need to light up.  Acupuncture is another idea that may help.  The types of methods that are available to help you quit smoking are as unique as you are.

Whatever stop smoking method you choose, be sure to enlist the help of your friends and family.  This can be a rocky road and you will need all the support you can get.  If you should slip up on your way to being free from your dependency on cigarettes, don’t lose hope.  Just make your next cigarette your last and keep on your program.  For a plan that will really help make your path to becoming an ex-smoker much easier, take a look at Stop Smoking Formula, http://www.stopsmokingformula.com.  You will find a program that you can tailor perfectly for your lifestyle.

September 2nd, 2010 by admin

Although most smokers are well aware of the dangers of inhaling nicotine all day long for years and years, they are still hesitant to quit for fear of gaining a few pounds! That rationale hardly makes sense but as an ex smoker I can understand this train of thought. Some smokers use this reasoning as an excuse not to quit. They are the ones who are not ready for the challenge. However, if you are one of the committed ones and are ready to meet your nicotine addiction head on, I can give you a few tips on how to avoid the stop smoking alternative weight gain.

The simple fact is smokers who finally succeed in quitting average a weight gain of ten pounds. The reasons for this gain are also simple.

If you are accustomed to having a cigarette in hand and in your mouth, you’re going to try to find a substitute. Also, since you are able to smell and taste better without the cigarettes, food will be your first, handiest, and tastiest resort. In addition, nicotine increases the metabolic rate so when you stop smoking alternative, your metabolic rate goes down. Ending result? The additional ten pounds!

Recognizing the facts about weight gain is the first step. Now let’s look at how to avoid it.

Studies have proven that people who exercise while quitting smoking alternative have a much lower weight gain and are twice as likely to stick with their stop smoking alternative program than those who don’t. After you quit smoking alternative, you will feel better and will probably look forward to adding exercise to your daily routine.

Eat a healthy diet with plenty of fiber. Include whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables in your daily diet. Keep a food journal.

Keep your mouth busy with hard sugar-free candies or gum. Carrot sticks are a great way to occupy your hands and your mouth.

Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated. It will help your cravings to smoke as well as boost your metabolism.

Allow time for a food craving to pass just as you would a cigarette craving.

The whole process of quitting smoking alternative is a challenge. Being aware of all the obstacles ahead of you will make the going easier. Follow the steps above and you will be able to quit without the stop smoking alternative weight gain. Stay focused and determined. Recognize the obstacles and prepare yourself to overcome them! You can do! I’m betting on you!

Many smokers also report that they do not miss traditional smoking alternative when they try electronic cigarettes. That’s because they look and feel just like regular cigarettes, and produce the same calming effects. You can even find different styles and colors, which can make smoking alternative even more fun.
